Tidbits on Tori
Tori has been writing her whole life, but if you ask her, that was just to relax, never for the eyes of another soul. It wasn't until later in life when a life of chronic pain took a turn for the worse, and she was stuck in bed for several long weeks without relief. When doctors were unable to help, the only distraction from the hours of unremitting pain was the story in her head. She ran it over and over, playing out different scenarios until she got the tale just right. After weeks of this, when doctors came through for her, she was able to leave the darkness of her bedroom and write her story down. It has now been published and retains a five-star rating.
Since then, she has found more writing friends than she can count and a community of support she needs. She has posted daily writing prompts, judged writing contests, hosted groups, and been a podcast guest. It has been a full writing career, if short.
The writing prompts have started this new adventure. It's hopefully not the last adventure to come. They have morphed into the flash fiction magazine. She hopes this will allow her to provide the support her writer friends need to get out of the creative ditch and reach their potential, or stretch out of their comfort zone and reach new parts of their creativity they didn't know existed. Whatever the reason, it is a platform to have their work vetted and published.
There is a quote Tori likes to repeat from an obscure B movie. It applies here, "This is not the end. This is not the beginning of the end. It is the end of the beginning." The best is yet to come.
