Submissions

​1. Bunker Squirrel submissions are delivered to BunkerSquirrels@gmail.com on or before the 20th of the month before publication.​
2. Bunker Squirrel submissions are sent in a Microsoft Word document.
3. Bunker Squirrel submissions are under 200-500 words depending on the prompt.
4. Bunker Squirrel submissions include a short biography written in 3rd person.
-We are a community of authors, if you need help, just ask. We'll work together.

Second Call

Moved by the devastation in California, Bunker Squirrel Magazine is placing a second call this month. We would like all tributes, stories, letters, anything you would like to write in relation to this unrelenting disaster. word counts may be up to 500 words. Please keep submissions tight, 250 words is acceptable. All forms are acceptable.

The Fine Print

​1. Submission must consist of your own original work.
-It should not be a paraphrase or direct quote of someone else’s work.
-It should not include your own work if you no longer own the copyright.
-It should not include your own work if you do not have the right to submit it to be published both online and in print.
-If you have shared this work online, such as a website or social media, please contact us for an individual answer.

2. You are submitting your story to be published in our online and print magazines.
-Bunker Squirrels Productions (on behalf of the magazine) will obtain an ISBN and copyright for the web and print editions. These are done for the magazine as a whole. Each author will be free to post their story or publish it elsewhere as long as the new publisher knows that the story is part of a copyrighted magazine before accepting it.

3. Authors understand they will not be paid for stories published in Bunker Squirrel Magazine. We hope to provide remuneration at some point in the future, but that is not the case at this point.

4. We cannot provide author copies of the print edition, though we are working to have reasonably priced copies available to authors.
