Bunnyrat Platoon-M.R.

CT heard the crackle over the airwaves and the angry voice of her buddy coming across the line. "Bunker Squirrels! Do you copy?"

"Copy, Bunnyrat, what's your ETA?"

"We're pulling 'em in like you said, General, but y'all better be ready with support, cuz we're gettin' our cottontails shot off out here!"

CT's whiskers twitched. She knew they could hold the Ravens, but she hated to hear that they might me taking casualties. "Hold to the plan," She said.

"Frackin' PELLETS!" the voice over the intercom said, then came the sound of the missile strike, the roar of distant thunder.

A second later, the Squirrels could hear the echo throughout the concrete walls of this bunker in the mountain So Bunnyrat Platoon WAS close. Very close.
The Squirrels started loading up their gear, the rifles, the repeaters, and the big plasma cannons on wheels. The team readied themselves at the blast doors.

CT said, "Bunnyrat, talk to me. You still pullin' those Ravens in?"

Static at first, then, "You know it! This is one helluva firefight. Damn my floppy feet if these humans never had anything like this! Hoppin' back to y'all now. You Squirrels got your nuts sacked up and ready to take these flying demons?"

The team said, "Bunker Squirrels save the day!"

CT slammed back the lever, and the blast door opened. The squad roared as the rushed to join the platoon.

It was a glorious day for the mammanimals!
