Submissions

​1. Bunker Squirrel submissions are delivered to BunkerSquirrels@gmail.com only between dates listed with prompt.​
2. Bunker Squirrel submissions are sent in a Microsoft Word document.
3. Bunker Squirrel submissions are under 250 words .
4. Bunker Squirrel submissions include a short biography written in 3rd person even if you have previously sent one.
5. Bunker Squirrel submissions should include any social media handles you would like included on your story page.
6. Bunker Squirrel submissions should include links to any books or previous works you would like highlighted at the bottom of your story page.

Please understand, we need these things included in every submission. We cannot track down these details for every author every time. It is too time intensive. Please do us the courtesy of including this information so we can support you better. It helps us avoid charging for services we would prefer to keep free.

-We are a community of authors, if you need help, just ask. We'll work together.

The Fine Print

​1. Submission must consist of your own original work.
-It should not be a paraphrase or direct quote of someone else’s work.
-It should not include your own work if you no longer own the copyright.
-It should not include your own work if you do not have the right to submit it to be published both online and in print.
-If you have shared this work online, such as a website or social media, please contact us for an individual answer.

2. You are submitting your story to be published in our online and print magazines.
-Bunker Squirrels Productions (on behalf of the magazine) will obtain an ISBN and copyright for the web and print editions. These are done for the magazine as a whole. Each author will be free to post their story or publish it elsewhere as long as the new publisher knows that the story is part of a copyrighted magazine before accepting it.

3. Authors understand they will not be paid for stories published in Bunker Squirrel Magazine. We hope to provide remuneration at some point in the future, but that is not the case at this point.

4. We cannot provide author copies of the print edition, though we are working to have reasonably priced copies available to authors.
